AI-powered facial recognition reduces search times
"...Since our installation in 2009, the Titlis photo studio has been photographing and selling photos almost year-round at over 3,000 meters using our software and hardware. Approximately 60% of their stable seven-figure annual revenue is generated manually in the photo studio through costumes and special effects, while the two automatic camera systems on the "Iceflyer" chairlift and the "Cliffwalk" suspension bridge account for around 40% of the revenue. A special container with staff stationed directly at the exit helps to convert the still-high adrenaline levels of the guests into spontaneous purchasing decisions. In the future, the pre-selection of images will be further simplified by facial recognition technology from Liftpictures..." Tony Camenzind, November 3, 2025, Engelberg

Dragon Blitz with on-ride photo system by Liftpictures, just in time for the opening!
After the exciting adventure in the dragon's cave, it's full speed down the Boxberg in steep spirals, where you get "flashed by a speed camera!".
Naturally, using the RodelCAM photo system from Liftpictures.
The finished photo can then be purchased directly at the self-service machine located at the exit. Both cash and cashless payments are accepted; it's quick and flexible, especially since the machine also gives change.
A great souvenir of the Dragon Lightning ride - also shareable online with friends via QR code - spread the word!

Liftpictures OnrideCAM at Eulenblitz
Since May 10th, the Edelwies amusement park has been operating not only on the Höllencoaster (Hell Coaster) but also eight times in a row on the Eulenblitz (Owl Flash). Guests can select their photos directly at the exit from the familiar self-service machine and pay with cash, using coins and bills – just like at the Höllencoaster summer toboggan run. There, you'll find the identical self-service machine, offering guests fantastic photos including social media access and an on-ride video.
The family park is deliberately foregoing the cashless payment option, which can be retrofitted at any time, because this traditional payment method suits the guest structure well.

PhotoPoint with self-service machine
The new outdoor photo point in the Bavarian Forest is located "indoors"
A great feature at the "Wald Wipfel Weg" (Forest Treetop Path) in Sankt Englmar for guests who do not want to climb the beautiful observation tower.
Deceptively realistic and very successful thanks to the Liftpictures Chromakey module!

What works on the mountain also works in the mountain!
There's no getting around it – eight carriages with intrepid guests, pulled by a traditional electric locomotive, for kilometers into the mountain massif… Water is dripping everywhere, it's very damp and cool, the ground is muddy, the passages low – they date back to the 14th century. Suddenly, there are several flashes in quick succession, and the eight photos are "in the bag"! From there, a modern fiber optic connection takes you directly to the souvenir shop at the exit, where the instantly printable photos are very popular.
However, the installation was not so easy, or rather, it could only be carried out “under difficult conditions”.
..so the specially designed “all-in-one” tunnel camera system in the waterproof all-metal housing should last for several hundred years 😀

"...We have been Mr. Nolting's customers for over 10 years now. We are very satisfied with the service and functionality.
The pictures are beautiful and are well received; thanks to the vending machine, we don't have to do any extra work selling them.
That's why we had Liftpictures carry out the second system update before the start of the season this year, as recommended every 5 years.
This time, in addition to the significant improvement in image quality through camera swapping and flash, a number of new features were added, such as the QR code for using photos on social media, the specially integrated video recording via a second camera, and the speed record display.
Our younger guests especially love these features!
We were able to almost double our sales rate in the first quarter and are also selling noticeably more trips.
We are already looking forward to the next update in 5 years…”

Have fun on the Plose – with a dual camera system!
After a successful start in the tunnel with extra turbo acceleration of > 1G, you race down the mountain in the coolly designed Rollbob (modeled after a racing bobsled) through numerous banked curves, before experiencing a second downhill thrill above the mountain station. A truly unique and exhilarating ride that you shouldn't miss! No other summer toboggan run system in the world can achieve such steep sections and such high acceleration! Now there's also a second camera with speed measurement from Liftpictures – located just before the final banked curve – so you can take the whole experience home as a personal souvenir and recommend it to others!

After very successful years of photography at the Harzbob , the old photo system from Liftpictures, dating back to 2007, has now been discontinued.
It has now been modernized; the new hardware and software produce significantly more consistent and beautiful photos in Thale. Thanks to the modular system, the camera and central system components could be quickly replaced; sensors, housing, and cables were retained – the current EasyCAM system is used.
