Liftpictures has been supplying robust photo systems for cable cars, mountain railways and winter attractions since 2006 – developed for cold, wet conditions and altitudes above 3,000 m.

Alpine facilities place the highest demands on technology and reliability: extreme weather conditions, high altitudes, freezing temperatures, and changing light conditions. Since 2006, Liftpictures has been developing specially designed photo and video systems that deliver crystal-clear images and operate reliably even under the harshest conditions.

Our systems integrate seamlessly into existing routes and stations, capturing every experience at the perfect moment – in snow, ice, wind, and at altitudes above 3,000 meters. Guests receive high-quality souvenir photos on-site or via QR code, while operators benefit from an attractive additional revenue stream.

In this way, alpine attractions transform their special conditions into a clear competitive advantage.

Liftpic started...

. . in the area of "OnrideFoto" with a cable car project in autumn 2005 (original photo on the right from 4.2006), hence company name and logo.

After several months, our
innovative, award-winning product and
market leader, it combined
- very low investment costs
- Excellent photo quality with flash (at the time with 8 MP consumer cameras)
- Integrated speed shot/speed measurement
- Personalization via RFID tags

We quickly found our first customers in the DA-CH region back then,
of whom many still come to us today - after 20 years
hold, e.g. the Imst mountain railways or the Titlis cable cars).
The technology is designed not only for winter and summer seasons in the mountains, but also for outdoor or indoor use, permanently installed or mobile.

We are now active worldwide - Liftpic has become Liftpictures.

For every requirement

Depending on the requirements and the planned operating conditions, we offer different types of cameras.

For PhotoPoints/in high alpine environments, high-quality daylight/panorama shots with fill flash are generally required.

This is a domain of DSLR cameras. These don't fit into a standard camera body, especially since the controls, climate control, and power supply need to be located nearby and protected against overvoltage. This makes our V2A stainless steel housing design particularly important for reliably protecting the sensitive technology over many years.

We use our own designs for this and can now offer both special designs as "eye-catchers" as well as integrations into exhibits or building components.

Camera housing – designed for extreme conditions

Our outdoor IP65 camera housings made of V2A stainless steel are heated, durable and specially designed for high-altitude use.

The systems can be swivelled and tilted and can withstand strong wind loads, icing and temperature fluctuations.

PhotoPoint “Extreme” – for high alpine panorama zones

The all-metal construction is designed to withstand the most extreme weather conditions – up to 12 BFT, −30 °C and even lightning strikes.

Ideal for exposed viewpoints and panoramic displays with high visitor traffic.

Sales station – suitable for outdoor use and winterproof

Our outdoor sales station enables reliable photo purchases even in high mountain regions.

Robust, weather-resistant and optimized for year-round operation – without personnel costs.

Self-service machine – year-round operation without staff

The self-service machine allows fully automated sales – in winter at the toboggan run, in summer at the summer toboggan run.

One system, two seasons: maximum revenue with minimal effort.
