Liftpictures: Photos and videos with system:
Modular and flexible.

Functional description of our software modules:

1. Central system “manual sales”
The central Liftpictures standard system consists of an industrial PC Shuttle W11 including touchscreen, 10-key keyboard and the current Liftpictures software “Viewer 4.2″.
All photos are presented, selected, sold and printed here.
It is very easy to use and designed for high throughput.
In manual mode, up to 6 photos per minute can be sold using a mouse, 10-key keyboard, or touchscreen; in the self-service machine, up to 4 photos per minute are possible, including selection and payment. User guidance is provided via short texts, icons, and customizable voice files in self-service mode.
In the variable layout of the central monitor, the current photos slowly scroll through to the animation in the “film strip” at the top and can be immediately selected/enlarged with a simple touch.

2. Camera systems
2.1. Camera types
Depending on your requirements regarding capacity, speed, lighting conditions, dynamic range, color depth, resolution, and budget, we offer three different basic camera types, each with its own Liftpic control software and trigger interface (three models are available for each basic type):
DSLR for highest image quality with autofocus and mixed light operation (flash synchronization up to 1/250 sec), but with limitations in speed and total capacity (mechanical parts, we recommend replacement after 500,000 shots); we also supply XL outdoor special housing made of aluminum/stainless steel with climate core and regulated ventilation.
Wear-free industrial cameras for very short image sequences (up to 30 photos/second), flash synchronization, and good image quality (up to 20 MP) – recommended for photo prints up to 13 x 18 cm and our industrial image processing projects; from 2021 also with motor zoom and focus.
Network security cameras are the simple solution for excellent WDR daylight photography up to 20MP and 4K videos, with numerous features such as motorized XYZ object tracking and sensorless triggering (motion detection); however, without flash synchronization. Also ideal for video sequences.
2.2. Liftpictures Software Camera and Shutter Control
For each basic camera type, a special Liftpictures control software is used, which connects to the camera, transfers the exposure parameters, controls the photos/videos and saves them on the media server.
Whenever more is needed than “contact = click!” via our direct camera interface, the additional Liftpictures software module “TriggerTimer” is used. It offers:
Trigger events via up to four I/O ports for connecting sensors
Speed-dependent triggering, interval and timer control, sound file management
Trigger series with multiple cameras
2.3. Outdoor flash systems
In addition to the classic single-shot xenon flash units up to 800 W/s and recharge times from 0.5 seconds, we also offer special solutions for high speeds, as industrial strobe or multi-flash units (up to 6 full flashes per second); each in ventilated/vented IP65 aluminum housings from Liftpictures.

3. Time and speed measurement
This increases the uniqueness and therefore the value of the photos, while at the same time ensuring higher utilization of your system through the fun and competitive factor - through more multiple rides.
We calculate the speeds using two sensors (light barriers or induction sensors) shortly before the triggering (“speed camera”) or the measured travel time from start to finish (“finish photo”) and calculate this value (in adjustable size, font, background color, position) directly into the corresponding photo.

5. Self-service machine
The self-service machine is used whenever there's no capacity for photo sales at the ticket counter or the counter is too far from the exit – the first few minutes after the experience are crucial for purchase intent. This means the investment quickly pays for itself. The device is available with various housings and options, but the core software is always identical.

4. Dialogue system
An ideal addition to camera installations when your guests need to be encouraged to interact with their photo directly after using your attraction (with their adrenaline levels still high...):
Personalization/Assignment (via an integrated barcode or RFID reader, see also Module 6.)
Reservation/Booking/Purchase
send as eCARD or
publish as a post on social media
Start self-timer of a Selfie/PhotoPoint installation
Dialogue terminal on a stand with touchscreen and credit card reader – for personalization and sales (videos and photos are sent via email or QR code)

Complete solution: camera system, flash, and self-service machine for €25,000 (mountings provided by customer)

Self-service machine 2.0 – still looks good even when closed!
We have described some examples on the following pages:
6. Presentation
If the central system with its separately controllable graphics output for displaying 1, 4, 6, 8, or 16 photos (continuously or synchronously with the sales dialog) isn't sufficient or isn't needed, you can use this software module to present the latest photos or videos at a strategically convenient location. Price excludes shuttle PC, monitor, and outdoor housing (if required).

7. Competition display / Leaderboard
A great addition to existing timing systems or to the speed or time measurement module. It allows you to offer a competition display on a separate monitor, encouraging more multiple rides.
Liftpictures 4-way display for times and speeds
8. Personalization
Consisting of RFID or barcode reader and the Liftpic software Code-Sync 1.1.
Example use case: At the start of an attraction, the guest registers their chip, and the next photo taken within that time slot is assigned to them. This allows for direct access to only that guest's photos later. Alternatively, we can offer personalization via facial recognition. We have integrated tools from Microsoft for this purpose.

9. “Social media plug-in”
The perfect tool for brand and image advertising as an important element of your digitalization strategy.
It consists of the Liftpictures client “web interface” and our web server programs on the Liftpictures photo hosting server.
Offer dynamic content on your website; generate "likes!" on social media; stay in touch with your guests through interaction on social media and through direct mailings, which can be planned and implemented via the admin login.
Numerous additional settings are possible in the admin area of the photo server – from data protection procedures to after-sale options via PayPal.
If you also print and sell the photos, you can enhance these souvenirs with additional online functionality. Access is then provided via a unique QR code printed on the photo. This also allows for price differentiation by offering "two products" (click for a demo): the photo with or without the code.

10. “Digital Image Processing”
Software module to complement existing installations to automatically enhance created photos, numerous methods can be selected and adjusted:

-
Sephia, Chromakey, Image optimization, Fog filter, Crop, Rotate, Clip

Fog filter as an application of the AddOns from Liftpictures
11. Digital image processing
The first application "behind the camera" was our facial recognition at the POI (=point of sale), as a module for manual sales or in self-service kiosks, with analysis of the video stream from a separate camera installed there to simplify the search for older photos. We now offer tools for object recognition, counting (people), and license plate analysis.
12. Image archive
Do you need long-term image management based on an SQL database on your own server or in a customer area on our web server – with keywording and convenient search functions? No problem – we'd be happy to calculate this module for you once you've defined your data volume, installation base, and keywording.
13. Video AddOn
Another innovation from 2022 is the video add-on. This allows short video sequences to be recorded at a photo point using a self-timer or along a route with up to three PTZ IP 4K cameras triggered by sensors. Each camera can zoom and rotate/tilt, using a defined sequence or object tracking. Photos are taken in parallel, using the same or additional cameras. The photos and video scenes are then automatically edited together on our video server and uploaded to our media server, supplemented with finished advertising scenes from your company and a soundtrack. From there, they are available for guest access via QR code. The QR code is on every printed and sold receipt/photo. This is a great and contemporary advertisement for your company and enhances the product "photo souvenir." For personalization at the self-service photo booth or interactive terminal, we offer the face recognition plug-in, so that only the filmed guests can purchase your photo/video. Alternatively, we can personalize using an existing ticket or ski pass with 2 additional readers (at the start and POS).
Also interesting as a retrofit for existing photo systems!
14. Individual additions”
It's now very rare that certain customer requirements can only be partially covered with our standard modules. In these cases, we program using traditional methods, often using existing libraries. If it becomes apparent that we won't be able to use this new feature for other subsequent projects within the scope of release planning, we must handle this additional service as a separate project (specification, effort estimation, programming, acceptance).
